Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C., a well-respected law firm based in Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking to add an Associate Attorney to join the firm’s Secured Creditors’ Rights practice. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with the firm’s other Real Estate and Bankruptcy lawyers, paralegals, and support staff to deliver outstanding service to the firm’s clients, which include many of the nation’s premier lenders and mortgage servicers. The ideal candidate should have experience practicing bankruptcy law, the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines, and excellent written and oral skills.

Position Requirements:

  • Currently admitted and in good standing to practice law in Virginia
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to produce a high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with technology
  • Working knowledge of real estate, title, bankruptcy, and/or debt collection
  • *3+ years of demonstrated bankruptcy experience is preferred (including debtor or creditor representation), however recent graduates who have completed a bankruptcy law course, or those with less than 3 years of associated bankruptcy practice, will be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

· Provide comprehensive legal representation in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters

· Draft, review, and analyze legal documents, including, but not limited to, Motions, Claims, and Objections

· Conduct thorough legal research and offer strategic legal advice to clients

· Attend hearings, ensuring effective advocacy of clients

· Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional service to the firm’s clients

· Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, Court staff, and Trustees

Pay: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 per YEAR
